Most of us use Google daily to search for things, but we don’t always realise just how versatile it can be. In this tutorial, there is a link to a Google page aimed to help people make the most of this popular search engine. Often, we search for something by thinking up the most appropriate phrase and hitting search whilst crossing our fingers tightly. This page gives lots of examples of how to make your searches as efficient as possible. For example, did you know that if you put a minus symbol directly before a word (i.e. -OFSTED), it omits that word from the results. Spending five minutes reading this could save you hours of your precious time that you may otherwise have spent tearing your hair out trying to refine results to find that odd webpage that seems invisible to the whole world.
